In recognition of 100 years of faithful service to Swedish-American trade and business, the Chamber designated 2006 its Centennial year.
The Centennial festivities kicked off on January 13 with a grandiose black tie ball - Twelfth Night Ball- and culminated on September 26 and 27 with a Royal Gala Evening and a Centennial Symposium, featuring an exhibit highlighting important moments from the Chamber’s past century of Swedish-American commerce, musical performances, and a banquet in the presence of H.M. King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden.
On June 15, SACC New York held a Summer Dinner Dance and Silent Auction at the classic Westchester Country Club. Many wonderful items had been donated by our members and friends to celebrate our Chamber's 100th year. The auction catalog can also be downloaded using the link below. We are grateful for all extraordinary generosity and support. The money raised during the Centennial year contributed to the founding of the Chamber’s own scholarship fund, named the Centennial Scholarship Fund.
