2009: Henrik Steinbrecher

Henrik Steinbrecher is Senior Partner & Vice Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Steinbrecher is specialised in the field of Corporate Finance and Real Estate. The clients he serves are international and domestic institutional and corporate investors in real estate and related infrastructure. He often works on assignments with both Government as well as Private sector clients concerning Transaction support, Due diligence, M&A Services, Valuations, and Business Transformation. PricewaterhouseCoopers has been a valuable and loyal member company for many years and was the generous host of our annual Board meeting in Stockholm in August.

2008: Michael L. Corbat
CEO of Citi Holdings Citi
Michael Corbat, is the CEO of Citi Holdings, a major financial services company based in New York, where he oversees the global financial service company's brokerage and asset management, as well as local consumer finance and has been with the company since 1983. The Chairman of SACC New York, Tomas K.G. Ericson, presented the Member of the Year award to Michael Corbat December 9, 2008. Mr. Corbat, a SACC New York Board Member, has been an invaluable asset to the Chamber in his commitment to our Year of Going Green. Mr. Corbat's firm was a generous sponsor and host of the successful New York Green Summit.

2007: Staffan Lundbäck
Senior Counsel Nixon Peabody
The Chairman of SACC New York, Tomas K.G. Ericson, presented the Member of the Year award to Staffan Lundbäck at the 2007 Christmas Luncheon. Mr. Lundbäck is a Senior Consel at the prestigious law firm, Nixon Peabody, and a longtime member of SACC New York's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Mr. Lundbäck left Sweden in his youth for America. In accepting the award, he credited SACC New York as an organization that has allowed him to "reconnect with his roots" and establish a "home away from home" in New York.

2006: Steve Trygg
Chairman MastRock, Inc.
Some members lend their support to our Chamber in a quiet and unassuming way. Steve Trygg is one such unsung hero. He is the only Swede in Wall Street Journal's prestigious "Advertising Hall of Fame".
And his New York agency was ranked "5th hottest in the country" by Advertising age magazine. A legend, according to Swedish business daily Dagens Industri. He served on the Chamber's Board of Directors for almost twenty years, and has generously lent his agency's and his own creative talents to the Chamber time and time again. The man with the golden pen, or laptop rather.

2005: Tomas K.G. Ericson
Former President & CEO Volvo Group North America, Inc.
The 2005 Member of the Year Award was presented to Tomas K.G. Ericson, Former President & CEO of Volvo Group North America, Inc. Mr. Ericson has been involved in the Chamber for over 30 years, and served as president of the Chamber between 1974 and 1984 and serves as Chairman of the Chamber since 2007. Mr. Ericson received the Member of the Year Award for his long and generous support.

Mr. Thodal-Ness has served as one of the Chamber's most active and appreciated members. He has been a valued board member and member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Thodal-Ness was given the award for his strong commitment and longstanding generous support.

2003: Håkan Swahn
President & Founder Aquavit
As the founder of Aquavit restaurant Mr. Swahn originally joined the Chamber in 1988. Throughout the years he has been one of the most active members of the Chamber. Mr. Swahn serves as member of the board as well as member of the Executive Committee. He was presented the annual Member of the Year Award for his long support and active involvement in the Chamber.

2002: Öyvind Saetre
Former President of Marketing Orrefors Kosta Boda
The 2002 Member of the Year Award was presented to Mr. Oyvind Saetre, President of Marketing for Orrefors Kosta Boda. The company is one of the oldest members of the Chamber, with donations made to its townhouse offices in the yearly 1950s and a membership dating back to 1946. Mr. Saetre received the award for his generous donations in connection with the Chamber's Lucia Trade Award.

2001: Gunnar Gillberg
President Interalfa, Inc.
The 2001 Member of the Year Award was presented to Mr. Gunnar Gillberg, the CEO of Interalpha. Mr. Gillberg, a venture capitalist, has for many years supported the Chamber in its operations. He has also been the generous donor of as many as six scholarships, enabling talented students to gain knowledge from the U.S. market, working with the Chamber's consulting practice.

2000: Jan Kjellman
Former President & CEO IKEA North America
The first Member of the Year Award was presented to Mr. Jan Kjellman, President and CEO of IKEA North America. He is a longstanding supporter of the Chamber and his active involvement in its operations has been of great benefit to the Swedish-American business community.
