Celebrating a Century of Commerce In recognition of 100 years of faithful service to Swedish-American trade and business, the Chamber designated 2006 its Centennial year. The role of the Chamber as an organization in the midst of a trade-relationship of unparalleled longevity and success was celebrated through a series of events.
The Celebrations The Centennial kicked-off on January 13 with the Twelfth Night Ball and culminated on September 26 & 27 with a Centennial Royal Gala Evening attended by H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. The Gala Evening included an exhibit that highlighted important moments from the past century of Swedish-American commerce, musical performances and a gala banquet.
The following day we presented The Centennial Symposium – Business - Politics - Technology, The Future of The Trans-Atlantic Relationship.
