Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Mr. Lederhausen began his career at McDonald's in 1979. After serving in several positions at McDonald's, he joined Boston Consulting Group in 1988. He founded Be-Cause in 2007 after having returned to McDonald's in 1990. Mr. Lederhausen was named one of Crain’s Chicago Business’ “40 under 40” to watch in 1999 and the World Economic Forum honored him as a “Global Leader of Tomorrow” in 2000.

Jonas Hafström is the Ambassador of Sweden to the Unitet States
. Prior to his present selection, he was Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand, also accredited to Laos, and Burma/Myanmar. He was previously Deputy Director for Consular Affairs and Civil Law at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in
Stockholm from 2000 to 2004.

Lars G Josefsson became President and CEO of Vattenfall in August 2000. Before joining Vattenfall, Josefsson worked for Ericsson in a number of executive capacities, including a four-year period in charge of operations in Austria. From 1997 he was President and CEO of Celsius, which he led until 2000 when Celsius became part of the Saab Group.

 Ambassador Michael M. Wood United States Ambassador to Sweden
|
Michael M. Wood was sworn in as U.S. Ambassador to Sweden in June 2005. Ambassador Wood is former CEO of Hanley Wood, LLC, the leading media company in the housing and construction industry and one of the ten largest business-to-business media companies in the U.S.
He founded the company with partner Michael J. Hanley in 1976, and today Hanley Wood has 750 employees and $250 million annual revenues.

 Mr. Fredrik Arp CEO Volvo Cars
|
Fredrik Arp is CEO and President Volvo Car Corporation, a position he has held since October 1, 2005. Before this, Mr. Arp served as president and CEO of
Trelleborg AB, a Swedish-based global auto industry supplier specializing in advanced polymer technologies. In addition to his operational roles, he has served on the boards of several companies in the industrial, media, and medical technology sectors. At present, he is Chairman of the board of Thule AB and a member of the board of
Getinge AB.

Christian Azar was appointed Professor of Sustainable Industrial Metabolism in September 2000. He obtained his MScEng in Engineering Physics from Chalmers in 1991 and was awarded the John Ericson medal for his achievements as a student. He was awarded his PhD in physical resource theory in 1996. Professor Azar's research aims at understanding the long-term dynamics of societal energy and materials use.

Joel Bleth is the President of SolarBee, Inc. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering (B.S. 1975) and Law (J.D. 1978) from the University of North Dakota. SolarBee, Inc. produces long-distance circulators to improve water quality in the fresh water, potable water, and wastewater markets around the world and has received environmental awards in the U.S. and Australia. Mr. Bleth was named Entrepreneur of the Year for North Dakota, 2008.

Michael Caridi is Chairman of MAJIC Group of Companies where his business endeavors span various industries including residential construction and development, and ground-up commercial construction for Fortune 500 corporations. In addition, as head of MAJIC Development Group LLC, he has been involved in several significant development projects, as well as construction for many Fortune 500 clients and retailers. He has received a number of honors and distinctions, including Community Mayor of Harlem, Community Mayors of New York State and a Humanitarian Affairs Award, Brooklyn Law School.

Andre Heinz has been active in the field of sustainable development since 1993, when he began working for William McDonough on sustainable design issues and projects. In 1999, after taking a Masters in Environmental Management at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Mr. Heinz accepted a job offer to run the international office of The Natural Step, out of
Stockholm, Sweden.

Mats Jansson is CEO and President of SAS Group, a position he has held since January 2007. Prior to joining SAS, he was President and CEO of Axel Johnson AB. Mr. Jansson has an extensive managerial background with several CEO positions prior to joining SAS. He was educated in economics and sociology at the University of Örebro.

Jan-Åke Jonsson first joined Saab-Scania Car Division in
Nyköping, in 1973. In 2005, Mr. Jonsson was appointed GM Europe Regional Executive Director, Nordic and, Benelux, a position he occupied before being appointed to his current one.Mr. Jonsson holds a degree in Business Administration and Information from Uppsala University/Linköping Technical School in Sweden. |

 Mr. Alexander Karsner Assistant Secretary of Energy

Alexander Karsner was nominated by President George W. Bush in December 2005 as the ninth U.S. Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Mr. Karsner is currently leading the Department’s high-level interagency and intergovernmental working groups on Biofuels, Hydrogen, Vehicle Technologies, Climate Change, federal land use for siting, permitting, and interconnection.

 Professor Amory B. Lovins Rocky Mountain Institute

Amory B. Lovins, a consultant physicist, 1993 MacArthur Fellow, and 1997 Heinz Awardee, has been active in energy, resource, environmental, and security policy in more than 50 countries for 30 years, including 14 years based in England. After two years at Harvard, he transferred to Oxford and two years later became a don at 21, receiving in consequence an Oxford MA and, later, nine honorary doctorates.

Lawrence O’Donnell, III became President and Chief Operating Officer of Waste Management on March 6, 2004. Before being appointed to his current position, Mr. O’Donnell, III was Executive Vice President, Operations Support and Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to joining Waste Management, Inc., he was with Baker Hughes Incorporated serving as Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. O’Donnell III received his B.S. degree in engineering in 1980 from the University of Texas at Austin, and his J.D., cum laude, in 1983 from the University of Houston School of Law.

Jeffrey D. Sachs is the Director of The Earth Institute, Ouetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and Professor of Health Policy and Managenment at Columbia University. He is also Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. From 2002 to 2006, he was Director of the UN Millennium Project and Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the Millennium Development Goals, the internationally agreed goals to reduce extreme poverty, disease, and hunger by the year 2015.

Dennis R. Slagle became President and Chief Executive Officer of Mack Trucks, Inc., on April 1, 2008. Prior to joining Mack, Mr. Slagle, 53, served as President and CEO of Volvo Construction Equipment North America, headquartered in Asheville, NC. He has more than 25 years of experience in the North American construction equipment industry including serving as President of L.B. Smith, Inc. Mr. Slagle earned his B.S. degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Mr. Svanberg joined Ericsson on April 8, 2003. Between 1994 and 2003, he was President and CEO of the Assa Abloy Group. Carl-Henric Svanberg was born in
Porjus , in 1952. He holds a Master of Science degree from the Linköping Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from
Uppsala
University . Mr Svanberg holds honorary doctorates at Luleå University of Technology and Linköping University of Technology.
