The Bertil Edlund Scholarship
The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York is proud to announce the fourth annual Bertil Edlund Scholarship available to Swedish business students. The scholarship will allow one student to work at the offices of The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York for a period of twelve months starting in January, 2009 and ending in December, 2009.
The successful applicant will gain the opportunity to gain considerable knowledge of the U.S. business environment and Swedish-American trade by working with research regarding export/import and regional development related matters. As a scholar you will also be providing general support to the organization.
A successful applicant profile: - Fourth year business student at a leading Swedish university - Strong interpersonal and communicative skills - Fluency in written and spoken English - Preferably some international experience - Some work experience

The Haakan B. Anderson Guldkula Foundation Scholarship
The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York is proud to announce the Haakan B. Anderson Guldkula Foundation Scholarship available for Swedish business students. The Scholarship will allow one student to work at he offices of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York for a period of twelve months starting January 2009 and ending December 2009. The successful applicant will gain considerable knowledge in high-level event planning and execution, membership services, marketing and publishing The applicant will also get the opportunity to enhance skills of the U.S. business environment and Swedish-American business relationships. As a scholar you will also be providing general support for the organization.
A successful applicant profile: • fourth year business student at a leading Swedish university • strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude for new learning • fluency in written and spoken English • preferably some international experience • a compassionate person with a big heart

About the Scholarship Donor
The Donor was rewarded the Anders Wall’s Foundation Scholarship for entrepreneurship in 1985, spending a year at the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York. He then progressed to Wall Street and later to the City (London) and from there he moved on to become an entrepreneur and investor in a variety of fields. He is the founder of a food safety company, Tractechnology, using intellectual property and state of the art technique to create a global system in the food industry to secure healthy food, especially in developing countries.
