Gunnar Gillberg graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics in 1967. He is currently the CEO of Interalfa AB, a management consulting firm that he founded in 1971. Throughout the years Mr. Gillberg has had various assignments with large Swedish companies, such as Astra, Swedish Match, Svenska Varv, Tarkett, and Kanthal. In 1980 Mr. Gillberg moved to the U.S. and joined the board of SACC New York.

Mr. Gillberg initiated the Chamber's scholarship program, generously funding two scholarships for three consecutive years. In 2001 Mr. Gillberg was chosen the SACC New York Member of the Year. The motivation read: “In sincere appreciation for exceptional generous support and outstanding contributions made to benefit the overall
growth and future success of SACC New York.”
