Carl Durlow

Carl Durlow, from Göteborg, Sweden, is the recipient of the 2008 Bertil Edlund scholarship and will work at Business Services at the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Inc., New York throughout 2008. Bertil Edlund handed over the scholarship himself at the 20th Lucia Trade Award Dinner at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York.
 
He is currently a fourth year student at The Stockholm School of Economics where he will graduate with a Master of Science in Management. He has previously studied at La Sorbonne and Lycée International of St Germain-en-Laye in Paris. Carl has considerable international experience from both working and studying abroad in Europe as well as the United States.

The Bertil Edlund Foundation, which hands out the scholarship, was created on the initiative of Öhrlings PricewaterhouseCoopers after Bertil Edlund ended his 20 year period as chairman and partner of Öhrlings PricewaterhouseCoopers. Bertil Edlund has participated in the development of the accounting industry through different chairing positions. In addition, Bertil Edlund has had leading roles internationally within PricewaterhouseCoopers and has been the world president of The International Federation of Accountants.
