Gustaf Rössner

Gustaf Rössner, from Stockholm in Sweden, received the Karl and Louise Andrén Scholarship of 2006. Karl and Louise Andrén handed over the stipend themselves at the 18th Lucia Trade Award Dinner at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York.

Gustaf is a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration graduate with a Management major from the Stockholm School of Economics. He has always enjoyed organizing and managing people, events and the combination of those two. He has a keen interest in international business, having done an exchange semester at the MBA program of the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines and combining his work at the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce with writing his master´s thesis on Effective Organizational Cultures in Subsidiaries of Swedish firms in the U.S.

-- It is a great honor to be awarded 18 months at the Chamber where I can extend my knowledge of management and event creation. Being the first scholar at the Membership and Events department makes it even more special. The Young Professionals program that I am fortunate enough to run for the Chamber is also a great way to expand not just mine, but also the network of other young Swedes and Americans in the New York area.
