<title><![CDATA[Study Finds That New York Is World’s Top City to Do Business]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[Anybody who has tried to hail a cab in Midtown during a rainstorm will not be surprised by the results of a survey released on Monday that ranked New York City as the most competitive city in the world.
But in the context of the report, that was intended as a compliment. Citigroup, which has its headquarters on Park Avenue, commissioned the Economist Intelligence Unit (a subsidiary of the company that puts out the magazine The Economist) to compare 120 cities around the globe on a set of measures of their standing as places to do business.
New York ranked above London, Singapore, Paris and Hong Kong &mdash; the rest of the top five &mdash; largely on the basis of its No. 4 placing on economic strength, which included the growth rate of its economy. The applicant should have demonstrated an academic talent and have an interest in belonging to an international educational milieu. The scholarships are meant to cover the tuition fee for Master programmes and courses taught in English.
The head of Student Affairs and Academic Registry Division decides, in cooperation with The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York, who will be the awardees. The Alumni Network in Uppsala is a social and professional network consisting of more than 15,000 former students and employees, and regularly invites alumni to reunions and inspiring lectures, seminars and courses. However, as a former student of Uppsala you know that it is a thoroughly international university with students coming from all over the world, which means that many former students do not have the possibility of traveling to Uppsala for reunions. <title><![CDATA[Citi has teamed up with LinkedIn to create a new online community aimed at helping women advance in their careers]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[The community, called Connect: Professional Women&rsquo;s Network, will provide content and news on topics including finding success, creating new businesses and balancing work and life. The group is also aimed at helping the female professional audience connect with other female professionals, network and share their experiences.
The new LinkedIn community will also send out a LinkedIn Today Special Edition daily to its members that will draw from more than 300,000 active publishers involved with LinkedIn Today.
The move is not the first initiative that Citi has launched targeting women. The international bank also has a financial education site for women named Women &amp; Co. that was established more than 10 years ago. <description><![CDATA[The 2011 study on country reputations from The Reputation Institute ranks Sweden in second place. Loosing the first place from last year to Canada. Canada has earned the highest reputation ranking in Reputation Institute&rsquo;s 2011 Country RepTrak, an annual study measuring the public perceptions of 50 countries around the world. Sweden came in second place, followed by Australia, Switzerland and New Zealand.
The study measures the overall Trust, Esteem, Admiration and Good Feelings the public holds towards these countries, as well as their perceptions across 16 different attributes, including a good quality of life, a safe place to live and a strong attention to their environment.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[There has recently been speculation regarding the launch of a new line, and this was confirmed today by H&amp;M CEO Karl-Johan Persson.&nbsp;H&amp;M has previously launched H&amp;M HOME, upscale fashion brand COS, and also acquired street fashion retailers Weekday and Monki.&nbsp;

<description><![CDATA[On February 4, 2013, Nasdaq OMX celebrated its 150 year anniversary on both sides of the Atlantic. In New York, there was a special Closing Bell ceremony at the Times Square MarketSite where members of the Swedish press pushed the closing button in the company of several SACC New York board members. The Stockholm stock exchange opened on February 4, 1863, and saw 22 trades during its first day. Today, the exchange averages 225.000 trades per day from all around the globe.&nbsp;

By popular demand, SAS is pleased to bring back this late evening flight with 3 weekly frequencies from Newark to Copenhagen.

<title><![CDATA[Bertil Hult to receive the 25th Annual Lucia Trade Award]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[Bertil Hult is the founder of the educational and language school company EF Education First. In 1965 at the age of 23 he formed the company in the basement of his university dormitory. He served as the company&rsquo;s Chief Executive Officer until 2002 and as Chairman until 2008. Under Bertil Hult's supervision, EF grew to a multi-billion dollar corporation with more than 34,000 employees in 53 different countries. A recent addition to the education group is the Hult International Business School, currently present in five cities around the world, and named after Bertil Hult. In 2006 he was elected International Swede of the Year.
