The Bertil Edlund Scholarship 2012

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York (SACC New York) is proud to announce the seventh annual Bertil Edlund Scholarship available for Swedish business students. The scholarship will allow a young professional to work at the offices of SACC New York for a period of twelve months starting January 2012 and ending December 2012.

The successful applicant will get the opportunity to gain considerable knowledge of the U.S. business environment and Swedish-American exchanges by working to promote and enhance trade, commerce, and other business relations between Sweden and the United States of America in all possible areas. As a scholar you will also be providing general support to the organization.

A successful applicant profile:
 

  • A recent graduate of, or a final year business student at, a leading Swedish university
  • Strong interpersonal and communicative skills
  • Business-related work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish
  • International experience is considered a key qualification

Please send your application, including cover letter, one-page résumé, and grade transcripts to Caroline Stjernström. Please forward you application in English. We must receive your application no later than on September 25, 2011.

The Haakan B. Guldkula Foundation Scholarship 2012

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York (SACC New York) is proud to announce the fourth Haakan B. Guldkula Foundation Scholarship available for Swedish business students. The scholarship will allow a young professional to work at the offices of SACC New York for a period of twelve months starting January 2012 and ending December 2012.

The successful applicant will gain considerable knowledge in high-level event planning and execution, membership services, marketing, and publishing. As a scholar you will also be providing general support to the organization and you will get the opportunity to gain considerable knowledge of the U.S. business environment and Swedish-American exchanges by working to promote and enhance trade, commerce, and other business relations between Sweden and the United States of America in all possible areas.

A successful applicant profile:
 

  • A recent graduate of a leading Swedish university

  • Business-related work experience

The Uppsala University Scholarship 2012

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York (SACC New York) is proud to announce the first annual Uppsala University Scholarship available for students at Uppsala University. The scholarship will allow a young professional to work at the offices of SACC New York for a period of twelve months starting January 2012 and ending December 2012.

The successful applicant will get the opportunity to gain considerable knowledge of the U.S. business environment and Swedish-American exchanges by working to promote and enhance trade, commerce, and other business relations between Sweden and the United States of America in all possible areas. As a scholar you will also be providing general support to the organization.

This scholarship will also give the scholar an opportunity to represent American Friends of Uppsala University in New York, and to work with alumni outreach in the U.S.

A successful applicant profile:
 

  • A final year student at Uppsala University, preferably majoring in business
  • Strong interpersonal and communicative skills
  • Business-related work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish
  • International experience is considered a key qualification
