This year, ‘Sustainology Summit – 1 Billion’ brings together investors, academia, entrepreneurs and beyond to create one impact unicorn summit. As a hub for investment, innovation and academia, New York City is the perfect recipe for innovating in sustainability.
Thus far, this year boasts an exceptional lineup of speakers numbering up to 11 speakers, and counting, all within the realm of FoodTech. Most notably, this year’s speakers include Ulrika Lilja (EVP & Head of Global Communications, Stora Enso), Kit Burton (Brand Manager, Wasa North America), Randy Worobo (Professor in Food Microbiology, Cornell University), and many more. Attendees will have the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing through workshops and company visits. Interact with these companies and workshop leaders on an intimate level. You will be able to meet investors face-to-face, discuss challenges in the food chain with academic experts and learn the secrets behind how sustainability functions within business. SACCNY has prepared a taste of sustainability in the food chain through company visits to the Brooklyn Brewery as well as Food-X Incubator, the first international business acceleration program focused on launching food-related ventures. Anyone looking for something more interactive can choose between two workshops with Josh Spodek (Ph.D MBA Author, and Professor, NYU), who will show practical and effective ways to influence beliefs so people enjoy acting and Catherine Barba, who will lead an impact investment meeting session.
For SACCNY, 2019 has been a year geared toward promoting impact across all levels of the Chamber. SACCNY will continue to its commitment to sustainability, impact and beyond by hosting successful impact conferences and events in which Sweden acts as a world leader and has a strong industry presence.
