The Skyline program is a tailored acceleration program for small and medium-sized Swedish companies within the real estate and construction sectors.

It aims to provide participating companies with necessary information and tools to enable
an efficient establishment in the U.S. market.

By partaking in Skyline, you will have the chance to connect with key stakeholders, investors, peer companies, and potential customers in the real estate sector on both sides of the Atlantic, fostering valuable relationships that can propel your business forward. 

To participate in the program, your company should have its main objectives working with products or solutions that can contribute to resource and energy efficient buildings, thus aiding to a reduced carbon footprint in New York. 

Application deadline: May 15th, 2024. 

SKYLINE IS FREE: The Swedish Energy Agency will sponsor the program fee for all accepted companies (excluding accommodation, meals, and travel expenses)! 

To be considered for the Skyline program, your company must: 

• Have a product or solution that contributes to resource and energy-efficient buildings and is ready to be scaled up in the US market 
• Be financially solid and adequately funded to begin undertaking an international exploration and establishment 
• Able to commit and attend all parts of the Program Agenda as described below 
• Have an ambition and plans to internationalize and establish/sell on the U.S. market – or early-stage establishment in the U.S. already in progress 
• Be small or medium sized companies as defined by the EU. 

Please note that while the program fee is covered by the Swedish Energy Agency, participating companies are required to cover travel and accommodation expenses themselves. 

• The state of New York has set climate goals to achieve carbon neutrality by the year 2050 and adopted local law 97 effective January 2024. 
• The Biden Administration’s historically comprehensive and well-funded Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) includes several goals to create a greener, more energy-efficient infrastructure that impacts the commercial real estate market. 
• New York City has over 6 million properties that are in need of new technology to meet these goals and is seeking effective solutions. 
• Most major corporations are headquartered in New York. 

• Good access to financing – on par with San Francisco and the Bay Area. 
• Immediate access to a plethora of legal services, compliance, and insurance.
