SACCNY is gearing up to strengthen Nordic ties in New York through the Nordic Series of Events which features the Chambers of Commerce from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland. With over 100 years of history across 700 members spanning 5 Chambers of Commerce, New York is home to the largest Nordic network in the U.S.

The first event focused on Human Resources and Cultural Differences and how companies may prepare their internal team for expansion on the U.S. market. The discussion was held at SACCNY’s innovation platform, Gateway, a soft-landing hub and one-stop-shop for Nordic corporates, start-ups and scale-ups looking to enter the U.S. market. Notable speakers included Jonas Prising, Chairman of ManpowerGroup and Christian Luiga, President and CEO of Telia Company.

Our upcoming event, Taste of the Nordics, will be held at Scandinavia House, features Nordic cuisine along with a panel of Nordic entrepreneurs and producers sharing and discussing their respective experiences, successes and challenges, when building a Nordic brand on the U.S. market.

“The Nordic Series is the Nordic Chambers’ way to showcase what Nordic collaboration means in practice on a root level, where every closed deal counts. It is undeniable that the U.S. market is massive, but what we can’t emphasize enough is the tremendous potential of a Nordic-level collaboration for our businesses. We are stronger together and we have a lot to offer on this side of the Atlantic. It is easier to score when you are shooting with five pucks instead of one. I feel privileged and proud to showcase the Nordic know-how in New York City.”
