Everyone’s heard about Silicon Valley and what they do for the tech industry, but what about Sweden? As one of the most innovative countries in the world, Stockholm is second only to the renown American tech hub. According to the European Commission, Sweden is the most innovative country in Europe. Sweden’s system for innovation is highly internationalized in terms of global research collaboration, global generation of innovation and global sourcing. As well, Sweden’s innovation network spans multiple countries with an emphasis in the U.S. and Europe.

As such, SACCNY is gearing up to promote Swedish innovation on another level. Of course, the Chamber has its exciting annual conferences, Innovate46, focusing on innovation, and Sustainology, emphasizing FoodTech, but the Chamber is also looking to expand its stage for spotlights. This includes areas such as sustainable fashion and innovative VR/AR. What will Impact Track demonstrate for Swedish innovation? Make sure to be a part of it and you will see!

On September 18, SACCNY will be hosting Impact Track: Tech4Good – Impact x Technology and invites major corporations and social entrepreneurs to discuss digital solutions for positive social and environmental change. Featuring speakers Sofia Breitholtz, CEO of Reach for Change, and Susanna Pollack, President of Games for Change (among others), Impact Track brings together tech, games and education and discusses how immersive digital experiences are catalysts for change.

The event will be held at Gateway, SACCNY’s one-stop-shop for Swedish companies aiming to expand in the U.S., including high-end office space and an ever-increasing list of business services to support your company –Gateway is the launch pad for Swedish businesses in New York. Open to all members within SACCNY and to the public, we encourage everyone to come out and celebrate Swedish excellence as one of the most innovative centers in the world.
