The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York (SACCNY) is seeking a Business Services Manager to join our team. As a Business Services Manager, you will support both new and established Swedish businesses to execute on their U.S. expansion strategies, and work to identify and leverage synergies between startups, scaleups, large corporations, and non-profits. Additionally, the Business Services Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the SACCNY Business Services team, including the supervision of scholars, trainees, and interns. 

SACCNY stands as a preeminent and the oldest Swedish Chamber of Commerce globally, boasting a legacy of 117 years dedicated to the prosperity of Swedish enterprises in the American market.  SACCNY recently unveiled “Gateway” – a state-of-the-art innovation hub and co-working space designed to provide Swedish and Nordic enterprises with an unparalleled soft landing and launching platform into the U.S. market. In addition, SACCNY continues to curate and host a distinguished array of programs, conferences, and events.  

BUSINESS SERVICES AND GATEWAY 
The f Business Services division oversees SACCNY’s interactions with its business and professional clientele. Business Services offers comprehensive guidance to partners, with the primary mission to empower existing members and budding enterprises to thrive within the dynamic U.S. landscape. Beyond this, Gateway aspires to curate a vibrant calendar of innovation and leadership events, encompassing workshops, speaker luncheons, roundtables, and more. These conferences and events are open to SACCNY members and discerning professionals seeking a prestigious and dynamic business platform within New York City. Furthermore, Business Services expand and refine business acceleration programs, primarily tailored to benefit Swedish and Scandinavian scale-ups and startup ventures. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The management of the Business Services team is entrusted to the Business Services Manager, who maintains a close working relationship with the SACCNY/Gateway President, reporting directly to her. Collaboration is also paramount with the organization’s Gateway Manager, who bears responsibility for the successful development and management of Gateway as a facility.  

In conjunction with the SACCNY President, the Business Services Manager assumes the pivotal responsibility of shaping and overseeing the annual operational budgets for Business Services and Gateway. Moreover, the Business Services Manager leads the design, development, and orchestration in all aspects working in synergy with members of the Communications and Events teams. This includes selecting and inviting reputable speakers, panelists, moderators, and other distinguished participants. The Manager also secures sponsorships, ensures the seamless dissemination of information, drives attendance, and more. Furthermore, the Business Services Manager is responsible for nurturing the growth and effective delivery of Business Services’ programs, strategies and services. As part of their commitment to the Chamber’s mission, the Manager shall undertake to continually enhance the relevance of SACCNY’s impact, with the goal of optimally serving both current and prospective members, thereby furthering SACCNY’s mission in an inspiring and purposeful manner.

– Experinced in developing outreach strategies to build relationships with existing and new clients.
– Interested in the startup ecosystem, business development, strategic marketing, and internationalization.

– A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. You exemplify self-motivation and adaptability within a fast-paced entrepreneurial milieu, where no challenge is considered insurmountable.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: You must have successfully completed an undergraduate or graduate degree (BSc or MSc), specializing in finance, marketing, or another equivalent field of education.
Work permit: All candidates must have an eligible U.S. work and residency permit to be considered.
Language: You must possess fluency in English and Swedish, complemented by exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Previous experience: You must have experience and aptitude with organizational budget and its oversight, as well as basic contractual supervision.
