JOB DESCRIPTION 
SACCNY proudly offers a scholarship business services internship made possible by Stipendiefonden för Svensk Utlandsungdom for the period September 2024 through June 2025. 

For the past years, Stipendiefonden för Svensk Utlandsungdom has been granting scholarships to Swedish students for internships at a Swedish chamber of commerce abroad with a focus on Swedish foreign trade and internationalization. The Internship position is aimed at young creative business talents who wish to deepen their knowledge and gain practical experience of American business culture, American management and leadership and the American business language.  

The Chamber’s scholarship program offers unique opportunities for young graduates who aspire to an international career. The candidate will have the chance to work full-time for one year at SACCNY in Manhattan, New York, getting a unique contact with the Swedish business community in New York and an outstanding opportunity for them to expand their own network.  

 By joining the eminent SACCNY team as a business services intern, you will undertake a pivotal role, collaborating with emerging and established Swedish companies to actualize their strategic expansions within the U.S. Your mission will be to support the SACCNY members and other Swedish companies in their internationalization. You will assist in identifying and harnessing synergies between startups, scale-ups, corporate giants, and non-profit entities. Your responsibilities will encompass meticulous planning, organization, and execution of summits, events and seminars promoting Swedish innovation and entrepreneurship. Moreover, you will forge close partnerships with our esteemed members, facilitating entry into key alliances across diverse sectors.

    REQUIREMENTS
    Availability: Applicants must commit to the entire internship period as stated in the ad.
    Education: Actively pursuing or have successfully completed an undergraduate or graduate degree (BSc or MSc), specializing in finance, marketing, or another equivalent field of education.
    Nationality: Holds Swedish citizenship or other strong ties to Sweden (to qualify for the relevant Visa).
    Language: Possesses fluency in English and Swedish, complemented by exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 

    INTERNSHIP DETAILS
    Internship period: September 2024 through June 2025.
    Job type: Full time internship on site.

    Compensation: Candidate will recieve a lump sum from Stipendiefonden för Svensk Utlandsungdom for the entire internship period.
